Error Code 51


Hello, I’m using a 2017 iPad Pro 12 inch with the USB-C port. When I connect the cable, the app indicates that my firmware version is not up to date and it gives me 4 choices, telling me to pick the latest one. But when I try to update, I get the infamous error code 51. How do I get around this problem?


Yes, I think there’s still an issue with firmware updates from iOS over the USB-C port; if you have a Mac or Windows device available, download the the desktop editor and use that for the update, after which you should be fine.
